General Guidelines
- Each author can submit a total of 2 abstracts (as presenting author), in each category.
- Abstracts for competitive sessions can be submitted under free paper/e-poster/video/images (clinical).
- Abstracts are to be submitted online only. A structured abstract (specifications mentioned below) has to be submitted for free paper while an unstructured abstract has to be submitted for the remaining categories of competitive session. No abstracts shall be accepted as email, Fax, Hard copies etc.
- All abstracts will undergo an evaluation process by a panel of experts.
- Each Author must have contributed to the scientific part of free paper being submitted.
- The winners of all competitive submissions will be announced on second half of Day 2 ie 15th September, Sunday.
- The awards will be given to the presenting author and certificates will be given to all co-authors.
- The presenting author/first author of all selected abstracts will get a complimentary registration to the conference.
- If any author submits >1 abstract for each category, only one of the abstract will be selected for each of the category.
- Any author will be eligible for awards for a maximum of 2 of his/her entries.

(One or more specialities may be combined depending on the number of submissions in the speciality)
Free Paper / E-Poster
- A free paper can have one presenting author and upto 3 co-authors. (4 authors in total)
- One of the above 4 authors can be the presenting author of the free paper.
- There will be two free paper sessions in the first half of Day 1 ie 14th September 2024, Saturday.
- Free paper session/submission has been classified into two groups; Free paper 1 session will include abstracts pertaining to the sub-speciality of cornea, refractive surgery, cataract, oculoplasty, paediatric ophthalmology and squint, while Free paper 2 session will include the sub-specilality of retina, uvea & neurophthalmology, glaucoma, trauma and miscellaneous.
- There will be 4 awards for the best papers of each session.
- Free Paper duration is 5 minutes only.
- Any change in presenting author of Free paper final session has to be intimated at least two weeks prior to the final presentation, no last minute changes are allowed.
- The scientific committee suggests that the “Free Paper or E-Poster” option provides the author with optimum opportunity to present his or her work. If this option is selected, the abstract will be considered, first as a paper, and if not accepted, it will then be evaluated as a E-Poster. However, if only paper is selected, and the abstract is not accepted as a paper, it will not be considered as an E-Poster.

Abstract Title
The title of the abstract SHOULD NOT exceed 100 characters (including spaces)
Abstract body
The abstract for free paper should be structured as body SHOULD NOT exceed 1000 characters (including spaces)

Add Co-authors
A maximum of three co-authors can be added. If there are no co-authors, add the chief / presenting author itself as a co-author.
E-poster/Videos/Clinical images
- Each e-poster/video/clinical image presentation should be submitted in the form of an unstructured abstract not exceeding 200 words.
- The final e-poster should have a maximum of 8 slides.
- The video and clinical image submitted should be of good quality failing which it may be disqualified for display during the conference.
- The e-poster/video/clinical image will be displayed at the LED panels/kiosks during the conference.
- These will undergo evaluation by a set of experts for the respective awards.

(20k to 35k Academic grant to each award winners)
Certificates
- The Scientific Committee shall issue a certificate of presentation to all the authors of the free papers presented at the conference.
- This certificate will be in the form of a tamper proof digitally signed PDF file which can be downloaded by logging in at the conference website/mailed individually to the presenting author.
- Certificates will be available within 30 days from the date of the conference.
Declaration to be provided
The following points has to be declared while submitting the abstract
- Whether the research has been carried out in India. Was this research carried out in India
- Has this submission been presented in any other conference earlier?
- Was this submission published or submitted for publication in any peer reviewed journal.
- In case research involves human subjects if Ethics committee approval has been obtained.
